Finished off a mystery roll in my Lubi and found this double exposure from Niagara Falls. Probably not exactly what I was intending, but I like!

I’ve rediscovered my love for the Lensbaby after taking it out for a stroll to capture the fading colors of fall. Wowsers!

Richard took this one, actually. Isn’t it fab? So proud!

Some friends came to visit, so I took them to the mystical Watkins Glen waterfalls, and couldn’t resist snapping a few awe of nature shots. It’s always impossibly dark in there, so it was a bit of a challenge, but here’s one of the better results.

Yup, it’s official: Fall is here! Ack! Too soon! Though I have been enjoying the cool breezes and crisp air. Sweater weather = yay!

Had some scanning issues here, apparently, and I suppose I could have rescanned, but I kind of like the resulting diptych!

We FINALLY went camping this past weekend, to the wonderful Allegany State Park. The forecast looked grim, but despite downpours as we made our way through the darkness during the three-hour drive there, the rain held off all day Saturday and we got in lots of paddling and hiking and wandering. Then the skies cleared in time for the most amazing star display, and misted up in the most magical way the next morning, much to my delight.

I threw a weeeeee tantrum, however, after seeing the results of all the shots taken using my 28mm OM1 lens, which is soft as all shit and doesn’t seem to meter properly. Either that, or I REALLY can’t focus (which should not be entirely ruled out, admittedly). But some were salvageable, with the softness adding atmosphere… or something.

We spent a good few hours exploring the insane halls of ArtisanWorks, a strange museum/gallery/studio space in Rochester that is chock full of trinkets and art and junk, ie my kinda place!

It may not look so yummy, but this cookie was divine! And came from one of the best lil coffee/sandwich shops eva, Open Face. We had big plans for the weekend, but ended up in Rochester. Hmmm. Still kinda fun in lots of little unexpected ways! Yay!
